Cheryl Jackson

Cheryl Jackson was most recently the host and producer of where she interviewed and wrote about child development, physical and mental health, education, social justice, school systems and other topics relevant to children and families. 

Prior to that she was a reporter and host at the CBC in Toronto and Saskatchewan where she researched, wrote and produced television current affairs and news stories. These tended to be about education, health and the arts. She anchored the late night news and 6 o’clock news, hosted live election coverage, traveled to tell stories in rural and First Nations communities and was a regular arts reporter/producer/host.

She has won awards – for blogging, writing, investigative journalism and the TVOParents website. She has contributed to social media campaigns and engaged our audiences online and in person.

 She has been a member of Ontario’s Healthy Kids Panel which was tasked with recommending strategies to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to reduce childhood obesity. She is Chair of York University’s Centre for Education and Community Advisory Council.
